About Vicinitee
Taking their first hand experience of property management, Broadgate Estates Limited* recognised the need for first class, easy to use property management tools, and launched Vicinitee.com in 2001.
Our in-house team recognises what both the management and the occupiers require from a building and considers all sides of a question when developing our products. In 2006 we expanded our products and developed modules for use in residential buildings.
While our approach covers business as well as consumer services, communication between the two is at the heart of everything we develop. The business modules help property managers operate buildings and developments more efficiently, quite often by improving lines of communication. The consumer modules deliver information about the neighbourhood to occupiers and tenants, communication via the web, courtesy of the management.
In 2007, Vicinitee.com expanded further still, merging with retail web developer, Comgenic. Comgenic’s products were used specifically in shopping centres to improve communications between centre managers, retailers/tenants, and shoppers. As their systems met with great success at Meadowhall in Sheffield, and subsequently at shopping centres in Birmingham (Bullring), Southampton (WestQuay), and Canterbury, we saw a great opportunity to incorporate these complementary products. Comgenic is now a subsidiary of Vicinitee, and their products carry the Vicinitee brand.
