Vicinitee Expands Into New Markets
2 January 2008Reflecting the greater role technology plays in the management of property, Vicinitee Services comprises of three core modules, Innovate, E-Procure and Source, all designed to unlock significant 'non rental' revenue from the asset.
Innovate provides the tools to develop and commercialise the 'virtual estate' - the area above and around the built environment, which puts landlords and property owners in control of WiFi airwaves within the space they own.
E-Procure provides a gateway to a range of products online, using the economy of internet-based trading, while Source utilises the combined negotiating power of Vicinitee's huge property portfolio.
Offering significant economies of scale, it is able to deliver competitively-priced products and services to occupier customers, including furniture, interior design and post occupancy services, such as move management and FM.
Furthermore, Vicinitee Services provides a simple and transparent revenue share scheme to landlords.
Launched in 2001 by Broadgate Estates Limited - a subsidiary of The British Land Company plc - vicinitee.com has a particularly strong presence in the City of London, where it is used in buildings including 30 St Mary Axe, Paternoster Square, Broadgate and Plantation Place. It is also used at shopping centres across the UK including Meadowhall in Sheffield and the new development Silverburn, in Glasgow.
